Best Practices for File Submission
- Prefer vector PDFs when available: PDFs containing vector-based drawings (instead of raster images) generally yield better extraction results.
- Use high-resolution images: For raster formats (JPEG, PNG, BMP, TIFF), ensure a resolution of at least 180 DPI (ideally 300 DPI) for optimal text and feature recognition.
- Avoid excessive compression: Overcompressed JPEGs may result in data loss, reducing extraction accuracy.
- Maintain original aspect ratio: Cropping or distorting drawings may impact processing quality.
By following these guidelines and submitting drawings in a supported format, you can maximize the accuracy and reliability of WERK24’s automated information extraction.
